In Zen, Kime means ‘to decide.’
But it is much more than that. It is a ‘Tightening of the mind’ that brings about a certain laser like focussed mind, which is crucial in combat and in life.
Bruce Lee summed this up when he said: –
“In life, an unfocused or loose mind wastes energy.
On those days when I have worked with total concentration, I have accomplished more and ended the day less tired than on days when I was easily distracted.”
Bruce went on to say: –
“The successful warrior is the average man/woman with laser like focus.”
