No Self in the Self

Written by Lak Loi, Founder of Martial Mind Power

Grasping to oneself distorts our understanding of who we are and is the cause of all suffering – our NONEXISTENT SELF, and causes samsara§.  It cause separation of ourself and others, in our thinking of a concrete me, a permanence, a form, with a strong attachment to identity, belongings, homes, friends and family. Emotions such as desire and aversion will follow causing suffering.  A selfishness.
By letting go of grasping oneself, you allow your true nature to come through EXISTENT SELF so you can experience nirvana.  To do this we must change our perceptions of ourself from a concrete one to an infinite formless one.  It is a negation of the self – an emptying of oneself, a realising of your impermanence.  Your selflessness.  Meditation is key to sitting still in yourself to identify and let go of your ignorant selfishness.
As Bruce Lee said…
‘It is like crossing a river on a boat,
Once across, you must not carry the boat on your back.’

Love and Light, Lak
