Ritually, Not Habitually

Written by Lak Loi, Founder of Martial Mind Power

When you carry out un-resourceful actions unconsciously in a repetitive manner, they become habit, and may not necessarily serve you or others, and could have harmful outcomes.

When you carry out resourceful actions with consciousness, intent and emotional content, they become ritual.  They carry a certain sacredness about them to serve you and others, with well-formed beneficial outcomes.

For example, people drink alcohol out of habit when at parties to enjoy themselves or at the end of a hard days work to de-stress.  Repeated over a prolonged period of time could leave you addicted to drinking and harm your health and life.  However, alcohol was originally created for medicinal purposes, and administered with ritual, it can have a beneficial outcome to make you whole, healed and healthy.

Act ritually, not habitually.

Peace, respect and love, Lak
